Getting Sorted

My box of scraps was overflowing and I had no idea what was hiding inside. I had some spare Creative Memories folders so I spent a couple of hours sorting.

These are all my card making scraps. I had no idea I had this much. Now I can find that perfect bit of scrap with out cutting a new sheet of paper. I hate it when you only need the smallest amount of colour and you have to cut a full sheet. Now I can find them easily

My Craft Day with Mel Makes Pretty

I got to use my FREE Sale a Bration stamp for this card. I also got to try out my new Nestabilities. I used Labels Four and Classic Scalloped Circles Large. I also used Cuttle Bug embossing folder.

I used the Versa Mark ink pad for this card. The heart is Stampin Up `Always` and the flowers are `One of A Kind` punched out with `Boho Blossoms Punch`. I then added some bling to the middle of the flowers. SU papers.

This card is for a 1st Birthday. I used the Earth Elements Stampin Up paper pack and used SU scallop edge punch. I am not sure what the brand of stamps is. I got them at the Stitches and Craft show and fell in love with them.

I this card is for a family friend who loves blue and dogs. I used Stampin Up Earth Elements A4 paper pack with CD'S stamps. I used Creative Memoried ABC'S for the D. The idea was from the SU catalogue.

I made these cards yesterday. My friend and I had a craft day. These are for the March Birthdays in my family. I used Stampin Up papers for 4 of the cards. I loved how the papers in the pack worked so well together.

I went to Office Works yesterday and saw this great CD shelf. I thought it would be great for storing all of my paper punches. It took about half an hour to put together and about an hour to arrange all the punches.

I also had a clean out of some of my old punches that I will never use. Please let me know if you are interested in having a look in the chuck out pile.

I only have one more thing to pick up on Saturday and my are is finished. I ordered some more cropper hoppers. I love them. They are a great way to store 12x12 cardstock.

The princess card I made for my niece. She turned 5 on Tuesday. I used Stampin up stamps. The other card I used some Japanese paper my good friend gave me. I wanted to show her what I made.

My new painted wall

My kids have been home sick since last Friday, so I have been a little bored being stuck at home. I had a mad urge to revamp my craft area. I only have a 3m wide room so I can not change much so I decided to paint the back wall. I had left over paint from the lounge room . I could not paint the whole room as I'm having the workshop here on Saturday so I thought I'd just start with one and then maybe next week do another wall. I got rid of a lot of the clutter and have tried to use blue and brown accessories and cover containers using the same paper pack. I am very happy so far with how it's turning out.

I still have 4 places left for saturday workshop so please email or ring to book a seat.

July Workshop Idea

I am very excited about Creative Memories new products. I have used the new scallop punch to create this flower on the card. I found the idea on youtube. I also used the new paper ribbon on the card. The 12x12 features the new paper ribbon and paper flowers. I will be teaching the flower card and the page layout at my next class 4th July 2009. I will be giving everyone samples of the new products at the workshop. You will receive new 3d foam squares to try as well as ribbon paper, paper flowers and scallops from the new maker. The workshop is 6 hours, however I know some of you have busy Saturdays so if you can only make it for some of the class this is also fine. Please RSVP by Thursday 2nd July. I made this box for a Birthday present. It's a Kasser recipe box. I used Kasser paints and Heidi grace papers. I thought it was a good idea at the time but as I started I realised that it was a bigger job than I thought. I didn't realise that you have to glue it together. I was 5pm and I had to give the box at 11am the next morning. I quickly finished it and started gluing at 8pm. The wood glue takes up to 12 hours to set.

I was happy with the colours and hoped that it would hold together. When I gave the gift the next morning the glue was still a little wet and I gave strict instructions "Please do not touch for about 12 hours"

This is a great project but you need more time than I had.
